Kingdom Players isn't just a club, it's a category

There are six different kinds of clubs at Lee University: academic, diversity, Greek, spiritual, social service and Kingdom Players.

Yes, you heard correctly.

Kingdom Players, a touring drama ministry group at Lee, gets its own designation on the Student Clubs & Organizations page at Lee University's Web site.

The group's favor doesn't end at the prominent listing, however. The listing links to a full Lee-produced Web site about the club.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Kingdom Players; I even once got upset when I missed the annual KP chapel.

But seriously, why the special interest? There are plenty of other clubs that have Web sites and deserve top listing online.

For now, I guess freshmen who want to start a new club on campus have a new choice to make. Should it be a diversity club, or should it be a Kingdom Players club?
