Old film shows Lee in 1961

I nominate the following film for Best Picture. Yes, it has a bit of a slow start, but stick with it (it's worth it).

Majestically titled "Decision for Destiny," the 1961 promotional film for Lee College follows two students (Joe and Nancy) who came to Lee looking for love but found faith along the way.

It's a magical journey, featuring footage of several campus buildings that no longer stand, including the auditorium, music hall and Old Main. You also won't want to miss footage from the old dining hall, library and dorm rooms among other material.

According to Matt Smith, who works in Lee's telecom department, the film cost approximately $10,000 to produce in the early 1960s. Adjusted for inflation, that translates to roughly $70,000 today.

Wow. I actually watched this whole thing. I loved seeing Dr. Charles W. Conn at the end. I miss that man. Great find, Harrison!
